1Why your video won't attach
Mail servers refuse messages above a set size, usually 20 to 25 MB. Gmail stops at 25 MB and puts a Google Drive link in place of anything bigger. On iPhone, iPad and Mac, Apple's Mail Drop can send up to 5 GB, but only from Apple Mail or iCloud.com, and its links expire after 30 days.
2Send it from your phone
- Open Exito TransferOpen exitomail.com/transfer in Safari or Chrome. There's nothing to install.
- Sign inSign in, or create a free account with the email address you already have.
- Add the videoTap to add files, then pick the video from your photos. Add more videos if you like.
- Choose who gets itType the email addresses to send it to, or copy the link to share it in a message.
- Send itChoose how long the link works, up to 7 days, then send. Keep the page open until the upload finishes.
3Send it from your computer
Drop the video, or a whole folder of clips, onto Exito Transfer or our homepage, and follow the same steps. Folders arrive the way you sent them, with no need to zip them.
4What the people you send it to see
They open the link and download the original file, on a phone or a computer. They don't need an account or an app.
5How big, how often
On the free plan: up to 5 GB per transfer, 50 GB in any 30 days, and links that last up to 7 days.
Paid plans start at $1.99 a month, with transfers up to 50 GB, links up to 30 days, passwords and download receipts. Bigger plans go up to 500 GB per transfer. See all plans.
6Tips for big videos
- Send the original. A transfer link keeps the video exactly as it was recorded, unlike chat apps that often compress it.
- On a phone, use Wi-Fi for big uploads, and plug in if it's a long one.
- Pick the shortest link life you need. When the link expires, the video is deleted.
