1What you need
- A domain you own, like
yourbusiness.com. If you don't have one yet, you can buy one from any domain registrar. - Access to its DNS settings: usually where you bought the domain, or wherever its DNS is hosted.
- A free ExitoMail account with a mailbox. Create one: start with an @exitomail.com address and add your domain right after.
- Your website stays where it is. Only the mail records change.
2Connect your domain in four steps
- Add the domainGo to Domains, choose Add a domain and type it.
- Connect its DNSIn one click if your DNS provider supports it, with an API key from your provider, or by copying a few records. The domain guide shows each way.
- Let us check itWe verify that the domain is yours and check every mail record (MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC) automatically. If something isn't right, we tell you exactly what's missing.
- Create your addressAdd the addresses you want, like hello@ or sales@, and make one your main address. Send and receive in the webmail or in any mail app on your phone or computer.
3Moving from another email provider
Set up your addresses first and change the MX record last. Mail keeps arriving at your old provider until you do, so nothing gets lost in between. Teams can create everyone's mailbox before the switch.
4What it costs
The free plan includes 1 custom domain with 3 extra addresses. You can connect it and receive mail right away; on the free plan, sending from it unlocks when your account is a week old.
Paid plans start at $1.99 a month and add more domains and addresses, a catch-all address and more storage. For teams, Business gives each person their own mailbox from $2.99 per user a month. See all plans.
5Mail that lands in the inbox
Every message you send from your domain is signed with DKIM, and SPF and DMARC tell other mail servers it's really you, and MTA-STS keeps mail on its way to you encrypted. That's what keeps your mail out of spam folders.
